About this tour

This unforgettable 10-day journey through Uzbekistan offers a perfect blend of ancient history, living culture, dramatic landscapes, and authentic local experiences. From the vibrant capital of Tashkent to the silent shores of the Aral Sea, and from desert fortresses to legendary Silk Road cities, this tour reveals the true soul of Central Asia.

Your adventure begins in Tashkent, where modern avenues meet centuries-old monuments. Explore historic religious complexes, bustling bazaars, grand squares, and enjoy Uzbekistan’s most famous dish at the iconic Plov Center. A scenic observation deck offers panoramic city views before your journey heads west.

A flight to Nukus opens the door to one of the region’s most striking experiences. Visit the world-renowned Savitsky Art Museum (optional), then travel to Muynaq, once a thriving port on the Aral Sea. Walk among abandoned ships, learn about the environmental history of the sea, and cross the vast Ustyurt Plateau with its surreal desert landscapes. Spend a magical night in a traditional yurt camp, enjoying dinner by a bonfire under a sky full of stars.

After a peaceful sunrise over the Aral Sea, continue to Khiva, a perfectly preserved open-air museum. Wander through the walled city of Ichan-Kala, admire minarets, madrasahs, palaces, and mausoleums, and experience the unique atmosphere of ancient Khorezm. Optional workshops and free time allow for deeper cultural immersion.

The journey continues through the desert to explore ancient fortresses such as Ayaz-Kala and Kyrk-Kyz Kala, offering insight into civilizations that thrived here over 2,000 years ago. From there, travel to Bukhara, one of the most sacred and historically rich cities on the Silk Road. Discover its majestic mosques, madrasahs, trading domes, and peaceful courtyards, where history still lives.

On the way to Samarkand, visit Gijduvan to meet master ceramic artisans and witness traditional pottery-making passed down through generations. In Samarkand, explore iconic landmarks such as Registan Square, Gur-Emir Mausoleum, Shakhi-Zinda, and Bibi-Khanym Mosque. Experience the city’s magical atmosphere both by day and illuminated at night.

The tour concludes with a return to Tashkent, allowing time for relaxation, shopping, or optional modern attractions before departure.

This carefully designed itinerary combines comfort, culture, history, and adventure—ideal for travelers seeking an in-depth and authentic experience of Uzbekistan.
