Below is the list of categories of entry, exit and transit visas of the Republic of Uzbekistan, exactly as defined
in the official regime text:
1. D-1 – Diplomatic entry visa (for those with permanent accreditation)
It is issued for the period of accreditation to employees of permanent missions of foreign states,
international intergovernmental organizations and representations of government organizations of foreign states
permanently residing in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and their dependent family members
(holding diplomatic passports).
2. D-2 – Diplomatic entry visa (for temporary residents)
It is issued for a period of up to 3 months to employees of permanent missions of foreign states,
international intergovernmental organizations and representative offices of government organizations of foreign
states temporarily staying in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and their dependent family members
(holding diplomatic passports).
3. DT – Diplomatic entry visa (tourist for diplomatic passport holders)
It is issued for a period of up to 1 month to diplomatic officials of foreign countries and employees of
representative offices of international intergovernmental organizations and government organizations of foreign
countries entering the Republic of Uzbekistan for tourist purposes, as well as their dependent family members
(holding diplomatic passports).
4. S-1 – Service entry visa (for those with permanent accreditation)
It is issued for the period of accreditation to employees of representative offices of foreign states,
international intergovernmental organizations and representative offices of government organizations of foreign
states permanently residing in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan and their dependent family members
(who do not have diplomatic passports), as well as to employees of representative offices and branches of
international and foreign non-governmental (non-governmental) non-profit organizations registered with the
Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan permanently residing in the territory of the Republic of
Uzbekistan and their dependent family members.
5. S-2 – Service entry visa (temporary)
It is issued for a period of up to 3 months to employees of representative offices of foreign states,
international intergovernmental organizations and representative offices of government organizations of foreign
states temporarily staying in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan and their dependent family members
(who do not have diplomatic passports), as well as to employees of representative offices and branches of
international and foreign non-governmental (non-governmental) non-profit organizations registered with the
Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan temporarily staying in the territory of the Republic of
Uzbekistan and their dependent family members.
6. S-3 – Service entry visa (at the invitation of state organizations of the Republic of Uzbekistan)
It is issued for a period of up to 1 year to foreign citizens arriving on a business trip to the Republic of
Uzbekistan at the invitation of state and economic management bodies of the Republic of Uzbekistan,
non-governmental non-profit associations established on the initiative of the President and the Government, as
provided for by the legislation.
7. O – Official entry visa (for official and state visits)
It is granted to members of official delegations visiting the Republic of Uzbekistan at the invitation of the
President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Oliy Majlis and the Cabinet of Ministers for the duration of
official events.
8. B-1 – Business entry visa (for those accredited in specialized institutions and departments)
It is issued for the period of accreditation to employees of representative offices of foreign commercial
organizations in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as foreign banks or other financial
organizations.
9. B-2 – Business entry visa (business visa)
Issued for a period of up to 1 year to representatives of business circles temporarily staying in the Republic
of Uzbekistan.
10. T – Tourist entry visa
It is issued for a period of up to 1 month to foreign citizens visiting the Republic of Uzbekistan for tourist
purposes.
11. TG – Group tourist entry visa
It is issued for a period of up to 1 month to foreign citizens visiting the Republic of Uzbekistan for tourist
purposes as part of a tourist group of at least 5 people.
12. PLG – Pilgrimage entry visa
Foreign citizens are granted up to 2 months to study the cultural, historical, religious and spiritual
heritage and traditions of Uzbekistan, based on questionnaires submitted by tourism entities and the Committee
on Religious Affairs under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
13. I – Work entry visa
Work entry visa (based on the license of the Agency for Foreign Labor Migration under the Ministry of
Employment and Labor Relations of the Republic of Uzbekistan). The right to work granted to a foreign citizen
by the Foreign Labor Migration Department under the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations of the Republic
of Uzbekistan is granted for a period approved by the Ministry.
14. J-1 – Entry visa for press representatives (permanently accredited at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs)
It is issued for the period of accreditation to representatives of foreign media outlets permanently accredited
to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and their dependent family members.
15. J-2 – Entry visa for press representatives (temporarily accredited at Dunyo AA)
It is issued to representatives of foreign media temporarily accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of
the Republic of Uzbekistan for the duration of the accreditation.
16. PV-1 – Visitor entry visa (at the request of citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan)
Issued for a period of up to 1 year to foreign citizens undertaking a guest trip at the invitation of citizens
of the Republic of Uzbekistan through the Main Department of Migration and Citizenship of the Ministry of
Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
17. PV-2 – Visitor entry visa (at the request of foreign citizens)
Issued for a period of up to 1 year to foreign citizens who are making a guest trip at the invitation of
foreign citizens permanently accredited and registered in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
18. VTD – Entry visa for compatriots
At the request of citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan through the Main Department of Migration and
Citizenship of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan. For those born in the Republic
of Uzbekistan and their family members, a visa is issued for a period of up to 2 years if there is an
invitation from their relatives who are citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan and permanently reside in its
territory.
19. STD – Student entry visa (exchange / temporary study)
It is issued for a period of up to 1 year to foreign students studying at higher educational institutions
located in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan for a short period of time (on the basis of exchange
between higher educational institutions or on a temporary basis within the framework of interaction between
higher educational institutions), and is issued upon applications from educational institutions, ministries,
departments and organizations of the Republic of Uzbekistan that have an educational institution under their
jurisdiction.
20. A-1 – Student entry visa (permanent – for the period of study)
It is issued for a period of up to 1 year to foreign students studying at educational institutions located in
the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and is issued upon requests from educational institutions,
ministries, departments and organizations of the Republic of Uzbekistan that have an educational institution
under their jurisdiction.
21. A-2 – Teachers' entry visa (for permanent employment)
The teaching staff of educational institutions of the Ministry of Public Education of the Republic of
Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education, as well as the teaching staff of
branches of foreign educational institutions in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, are granted to
foreign citizens for a period of up to 1 year. They are issued upon applications from educational
institutions, ministries, departments and organizations of the Republic of Uzbekistan that have educational
institutions under their jurisdiction.
22. A-3 – Academic entry visa (on a temporary basis)
It is issued for a period of 3 months to 2 years for foreign individuals wishing to conduct scientific
research (collecting materials for dissertations, scientific works) and teaching activities (short-term
traveling lectures) in the Republic of Uzbekistan, and is issued upon applications from the Academy of
Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, scientific research organizations, higher educational institutions of
the Republic of Uzbekistan, ministries or departments.
23. C – Medical entry visa
It is issued for a period of up to 3 months to foreign citizens arriving in the Republic of Uzbekistan for
treatment at the invitation of treatment and prevention institutions.
24. C-1 – Entry visa for crew
Issued to foreign members of aircraft and railway crews for a period of up to 1 year.
25. C-2 – Entry visa for drivers
Issued to foreign drivers of freight vehicles for a period of up to 1 year.
26. EXIT – Exit visa
In cases where entry visas are overdue for foreign citizens, they are granted a period of up to 1 month to
exit the Republic of Uzbekistan.
27. TRAN – Transit visa
Issued for up to 3 days to foreign citizens transiting through the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
28. INV – Multiple-entry investment visa
It is issued upon the application of enterprises investing in the economy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in an
amount not less than 8500 times the base payment established in the Republic of Uzbekistan when making foreign
investments, for the purpose of acquiring shares and stakes in economic associations, as well as for the
establishment of enterprises with the participation of foreign investments, with the possibility of extending
its term without leaving the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, issued to foreign citizens and stateless
persons, valid for up to 3 years.
In this case, the investor's family members (spouse, parents, and children) are issued a visitor visa for the
duration of the “Investment visa” with the right to extend it without leaving the republic.
