One day tour to Shakhrisabz: day itinerary to one of the oldest cities in Central Asia that is inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage List. According to historical sources ancient settlements existed here 1700 BC. The city is world-famous as a capital of Temurids dynasty and homeland of Temur the Great.
Nowadays, Shakhrisabz is under threat of destruction – Ak-Saroy palace doesnt feel so well, and slowly collapsing. Dishes, served in Shakhrisabz, have a certain taste of mixed up local spices, esp red pepper. But still, Ak-Saroy and the garden have a lot to impress with. Just need to book our one-day tour and you ready to go!

Begin your journey at the grand ruins of the Ak-Saray Palace, once Amir Timur’s summer residence. Admire the colossal entrance portal adorned with vibrant blue tiles and intricate mosaics. Though only remnants remain, the scale and artistry of the palace reveal Timur’s ambition and vision of greatness.

Next, In 1435, the Kok-Gumbaz mosque (the “Blue Dome”) was built opposite the Kulyal's mausoleum and on the same axis. The inscription on the portal says about its construction by Ulugbek on behalf of his father Shah Rukh. It played the role of the Juma Mosque, that is, the Friday Cathedral Mosque of Shahrisabz.

You will meet lots of local folks here, and particularly wedding parties.It is located in the center of newly bult park with the greenery and flowers and you can have an amazing ice cream in one of the "chayhanas" (traditional tea house) there with carved wooden columns.
